This Antique Ship is Amazing and Full of History. It is Modeled after The Bremen Roland a statue of Roland, erected in 1404. It stands in the market square (Rathausplatz) of Bremen, Germany, facing the cathedral, and shows Roland, paladin of the first Holy Roman Emperor Charlemagne and hero of the Battle of Roncevaux Pass. Roland is shown as protector of the city: his legendary sword (known in chivalric legend as Durendal) is unsheathed, and his shield is emblazoned with the two-headed Imperial eagle.

This ship has The Bremen, German Crest Full Sail and Fitted with Canons, Ropes, Sails, and Fine Detail. Dated on the Ship is "1664". A few of the Lanterns are missing on the Back as Shown in Picture.

This was purchased from the Famous Trotters Fine Antiques, in Pacific Grove, Ca.

It Measures; 35" High x 41" Long.
